Nathan Harris grew up in Palmerston North, Manawatu, and from a young age, he worked on his friends’ dairy farms.

When Nathan was 12, he worked at a farm where some cows had escaped, and the farmer told him to “run like Waka Nathan, "an All Black at the time called Waka Nathan. So the nickname Waka Nathan has stuck with Nathan since then.

After 20 years of living in London and renovating English pubs and hotels, Nathan changed his career when Guinness trained him as a beer technician. Besides ensuring the beer tasted perfect at pubs, Waka Nathan looked after Guinness sales and marketing.

On Waka Nathan's return to his home town of Palmerston North in 2017, he got back to his roots in the building trade. This was when Waka Property Building & Renovations was conceived.

Now a leading renovations project management and construction business in the Manawatu area, Waka Nathan and his team have gone from strength to strength and are looking to expand nationwide.

Waka and his team of professionals strive to be the best in the business and believe all their customers deserve the best.
